THE OVERALL LEARNING OBJECTIVE OF THE E- LEARNING MODULE IS:

  • to obtain an understanding of the causes of depression and distress, and the mediators of recovery
  • to be able to know how to guide your patients recovery with the Feeling Good App,  within a psychologically minded practice.

 Part 1: online self-study module – 4 parts

At the end of module you will be able to:

  • Critically explore the underlying neurological pathways of emotional distress
  • Understand how to build emotional resilience for recovery & coping
  • Recognise the importance of the GP/therapist role in the treatment of emotional distress
  • Explain the PosMT programme to your patients & guide their recovery

Part 2: Feeling Good App.  Access codes to allow free unlocking of the self-managed Positive Mental Training programme in the Feeling Good App [for self-use -code sent with online module; for patient use – codes sent after the webinar]

This is an evidence-based, self-help, audio programme supporting patients recovery from depression, anxiety and stress. Also used by many NHS staff to aid their own resilience, wellbeing and increase focus & job satisfaction. Safe & easy to use in your clinic.

This has helped me personally using the techniques during a recent interview, I got the job

So helpful to be able to offer something other than long waiting lists and medication which helps with so much more than depression.

Part 3: Webinar training – This will be held on Thursday May 16th 2019 from 8 – 9pm

This webinar will give you an opportunity to discuss the online module and to ask questions about the practical aspects of using the programme in this project,

This one hour webinar will give those attending:
1. the opportunity to reflect on their own learnings from the online e learning module Recovery from Depression using Guided Self-help Resilience Training
2. to share experiences with others
3. widen understanding of the utility of this resource
4. increase skills in how to engage patients in this treatment option.
